Corvairs Acquire 2007-Born Netminder Caleb Shuker

Caledonia, ON – August 18, 2025 —The Caledonia Corvairs are pleased to announce the acquisition of 2007-born goaltender Caleb Shuker from the Kirkland Lake Goldminers (NOJHL).

A native of Stoney Creek, ON, Shuker appeared in 11 games this season with Kirkland Lake, gaining valuable junior experience. Prior to his time in the NOJHL, he also spent time in the QMJHL, further developing his game against elite competition. Standing at 5’11 and 181 pounds, he brings athleticism and compete to the crease as the Corvairs continue to strengthen their roster.

“Caleb is a gamer. He is very dedicated to the craft and learning.”  said GM Jake MacNeil. “He’s hungry to get better every day and most importantly he wants to win. His commitment, eagerness and skillset will be big between our pipes as we have 2 very capable goalies who want to win a championship. We’re thrilled that Caleb and his family picked us to make that run with”.

Shuker will join the Corvairs as they continue their pursuit for another Sutherland Cup Championship.
